## **🌟 Detailed Introduction to Fund 12**

Fund 12, like the 11 that came before it, has specific categories that a proposer can submit in. Each category is further broken down below:  


### **🔗 Fund 12 Details:**

Fund12 begins on April 26, and voting starts on June 27. Proposal submissions open on April 29. 

The general deadline for proposal submission is May 13 at 11:00 UTC for all categories except Cardano Partners with deadline set on June 6 at 11:00 UTC instead. The fund will contain a total of ₳50,000,000 (~22 Million USD) to boost the Cardano ecosystem.

### **🌍 Changes to Fund12**

Each fund is revised with the goal of improving overall participation and experience:

- Key changes this fund limit participation and emphasize delivery. 6 Max proposals per user in all categories is the limit.

- Projects funded in Fund9 or prior should not apply if those projects are not yet completed.

- Projects funded in Fund10 or Fund11 may apply if they have complete some "Proof of Achievements" in the last 6 months preceding the start of Fund 12.

### Concept:

- Budget: ₳7,500,000

Details: Seeking DApp ideas or product concepts for design and prototyping to demonstrate their purpose and realize novel applications on the Cardano blockchain. Submissions must be for new product ideas.

### MVP (Minimum Viable Product)

- Budget: ₳7,500,000

Details: Support for early blockchain startup projects to reach Cardano testnet or MVP readiness. Submissions must include a functioning prototype demonstrated in the proposal.

### Product

- Budget: ₳7,500,000

Details: Focus on products and integrations that can accelerate to offer more high-impact use cases at scale to drive more adoption in the Cardano ecosystem. Submissions must have a working product already in the market.

## 🗒️Fund 12 Categories: Cardano Open

### Developers

- Budget: ₳10,500,000

Details: Support for developing open-source tooling needed to enable the Cardano developer ecosystem to thrive. The focus should be on supporting open-source development efforts.

- Budget: ₳5,500,000

Details: Funding for creative ideas and grassroots activities that expand Project Catalyst’s global footprint, educate, onboard more Cardano and Cardano DApps users. The focus is on non-engineering proposals for bottom-up governance activities, hackathons, marketing, regional growth, and education or community-building endeavors.

## Cardano Partners and Real World Integrations

- Total budget: ₳8,000,000

Details: Aimed at igniting partnerships and adoption for Cardano with leaders of industry. This includes proposals for collaborations, enterprise partnerships, marketing acceleration, and mainstream adoption. The committee will review and shortlist the highest potential proposals for community vote.

## Step 2 - Download a Cardano Wallet

Downloading a wallet is a typical first step in the web3 governance process. In fact, if you're taking this course, you likely already have a wallet. 

However, we've placed this step second becuase not all wallets currently offer voting options. The walles below will give you what we feel is the best experience registering your wallet for voting in Fund 11:

If you selected **Yoroi** or **Typhon**, your first step will be the same: 

### Step 1: Create & Confirm your PIN

This 4-digit pin will be required for you to connect your wallet to the Catalyst Voting app

### Step 2: Confirm Registration Transaction

- Confirm the transaction connect your wallet to your **🔑Catalyst Voting** key

- "Save" or "Download" the QR Code  generated 

### Step 3: Connect your Wallet to the Catalyst Voting app 

Inside the Catalyst Voting app, click "Let's Start!" and swipe through (or "Skip") until you reach "Connect Wallet"

- Then, click "Use voting QR code and PIN" & scan your QR code from step 2
- Then, enter & confirm your PIN from step 1 

### That's it! Congratulations, you're all registered to vote!

## Minimal Requirements to Vote

### 1. Register Wallet before Voting Power Snapshot

Your wallet must be registered to vote before January 15th for Fund 11

- Registration fee = 0.17-0.18 ADA

### 2. Hold at least 500 ADA (not counting rewards)

In order to cast your vote, you'll be required to keep your balance above 500 ADA until the voting round starts.

- Furthermore, your "Voting Power" will be updated during the Janurary 15th snapshot.
